Question about Battles in Chamber:
The Seize roll decides if the Agents or the Opponent gets to choose the Opponents fate in the finale. I find myself struggling to answer what a plastic ashtray (even a spooky alien one) “wants” out of a finale. Any tips?

It's probably tied up in answering questions as a table regarding the Signal, the SRMs, and more (which is great) but I'm still just feeling some friction there.

Yeah, the question "what does the signal want?" is tricky, but that's part of the fun of being the OPS player, imo. It might have a coherent agenda, working across SRMs and agents, or it might be an inscrutable alien force, with no sensible motives or goals.

By default, I'd say the signal always wants to: break free, propagate further, and infect as many systems and minds as possible.

Great thoughts, thanks! Having just finished Roadside Picnic I’m very open to the inscrutable angle - I think your suggestions can be interpreted broadly to fit either style. In conversational gameplay even the most isncrutable forces need to be somewhat scrutable(?)

Has anyone made a character keeper or fillable character sheets to facilitate online play?

Is there an actual play podcast or video I can give a look at? There are a few points I'm not sure I really get, and I would like to see them in play.

I'm not aware of any.

Oops. Didn’t realise I needed AGON to play this before purchasing :/

one question: how do you get a boon in this game? In Agon you can either fill a constellation (3 stars) or getting some points of fate (up to 3 point)

Reading the rules it seems the only way here is the fate route.

Do you also get a boon when the bleed track reaches a numbered box? (It would make sense since each one is spaced by 3 points, and because it will give a mechanical incentive to the player to contain instead of destroy a SRM, since every containment gives the OPs player an advantage dice)

Yes, you get a boon when the bleed track reaches a numbered box. I'll add that detail in the next update. Thanks!

wow! Also good choice with Alpha (take damage entering) and Omega (take damage on failure) designation. I always need to double check with Epic/Mythic/Sacred, this one is so intuitive

Yay! I'm glad that worked. :)
